I was in a museum in Berlin in the 70's, gosh there were so many, I can't remember which, but I saw this painting of a landscape with a river by "some Italian Guy". See, i don't remember his name .... but his style of painting stuck with me, and I have finally, I think, been able to reproduce the colors as I "think" I remember them.
I hope you can view this in the same colors I do on my 27" iMac that I have carefully calibrated ... if not, well, you might have to just pass this off as a crappy colored photo. But on my screen it takes me back many many years.
Often we hear that we should look to the old masters for examples of light in paintings, to see how they saw. Here is to that "Italian Guy" and thanks dude.
