If you run across this photo is is just a reference shot for photographers, taken to demonstrate the bokeh of the Nikkor DX 35mm 1.8. I am not sure if all of the data translated into the photo for you to examine. The photo is from last year of my favorite surviving rose, which I clipped off and keep at my desk. As you can see it was taken at an angle to make the rose stand straight, but the real issue is what is out of focus, and how nicely it comes out.
I have been very pleased with this simple prime lens. Nikon users, it is an excellent low light prime for about $200, crop factor makes it a 55mm.
