I was excited about taking most of the day just taking photos, as everyday, i have my camera slung around my neck and shoulder ready to shoot. In my part of the town they are pretty much used to seeing me, few people balk at the camera now. I shot 132 photos.
BUT what did I see?
This is a summary shot of the day. What I saw was endless cold grey skies, rows and rows of concrete grey buildings, leafless trees, melting snow and ice, no sun... This wall is demonstrates the cold greyness of a Ukrainian city in winter. This is not all that I saw but it was what I saw, it is my vision of the day. Broken grey concrete, graffiti, little posts on any surface looking for work, old walls standing for no reason. And the sound of billions of droplets of melting snow and ice. The people? I might as well have shot old Kodak Tri-X Black and White film, because 99% of everyone here wears black ... which goes great with cold grey skies, immense grey concrete buildings, leafless trees and a general feeling of funk and depression.
As God as my witness I need spring to start NOW. I hope you had a better vision! All I had was ... Dead World.
