No One Ever Got Lost On A Straight Road

Posted by
Sundra Tanakoh (......., Ukraine) on 4 March 2011 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

In contrast to yesterday's street, here is another of my roads less traveled. Metaphorically speaking, I have never taken the straight road.

This is always sometimes a good and bad idea ...

which will not make sense if you translate it to another language. :-)

So this shot is more of a personal statement, sometimes that is what photography is about.

if he chose the right road

@sim: Your road is chosen for you at birth, this is your path, your destiny at the end of the straight road is preordained. Should you stay on it you will not get lost and your destiny fulfilled. Point A to Point B. Should you choose not to follow this road, then the route to your destiny is no longer in the hands of fate but in your own. In the end you end up at point B, but the alternate doors you have opened, the twists and turns and exits along the way are un-forseen even by the eyes of fate, who only sees your end. I may not control my destiny, but I can control my route. I chose not to take the direct route and for that I have lived many lives, made many mistakes, made many wonderful decisions had great adventures and met more than those that lined my straight road. The journey is the reward, not the ultimate destination. Well, thats what I think a least :-) So SIM, by meeting you on this road I am enriched all the more, for had I not made all of the strange decisions and taken the winding route I would not have arrived at this place, I would have robbed myself the pleasure of seeing your photography! You are on my road, you are on yours and we have crossed paths, much to my delight!

I like a big of straight and then a bit of curve. I like a bit of up and then down hill as well. There is nothing wrong with u-turns or getting lost. Whatever you do, don't run out of gas and definitely don't go offroad if you're inside a Yugo :) Drive safe!

Hello my dear...love this! I'm so notorious for taking photos while driving and I love to see others do it as well...or come to the dark side as some would think :) And yes, many get lost on a straight road...they just don't know how they messed it up. Thanks for always stopping by...I've been a crazy woman lately but I didn't want you to think your comments went unnoticed or unappreciated. Happy weekend!!!

I love a straight road - especially one without traffic - time to relax - listen to sound of the road - reflect on the day - the year - a life - I love a straight road - Wonderful clear beautiful shot!
